Study of corrosion damage caused in the pillars of the basement of the building and its origin (due to carbonation, attack by chlorides or both). Determination of chloride concentration in extracted samples (grinding and potentiometric titration) and the carbonation front. Assessment of the feasibility of applying corrosion inhibitors based on the chloride concentration existing in the structure.
In this case, a previous study was carried out to assess the feasibility of applying different corrosion inhibitors. Therefore, in a second phase of the study, the effectiveness of both products in the structure was evaluated, through corrosion measurements and the study of the difference between the parameters obtained.
